How to use a Birthing Ball to induce Labor – Best Birth Ball Exercises to speed up and induce labor

Описание к видео How to use a Birthing Ball to induce Labor – Best Birth Ball Exercises to speed up and induce labor

Nathalie Kaufmann, Consultant for Natural Birth Preparation, and Mathias Ritter, Science Expert, teach you how to use a birthing ball to induce labor. These birthing ball exercises are intended to engage your baby deeper in your pelvis so that more pressure is being put on your cervix. The additional pressure, as well as the stimulation from the movements, can help you kick-start contractions, if your body is ready for it. However, these 6 simple exercises on and with a birthing ball cannot only help you induce labor. They can also help you prepare your body for labor. Therefore, they are also a great way to speed up the time until your body is ready for labor. Finally, these exercises are also great pregnancy stretching exercises for the last couple of weeks of your pregnancy. Therefore, they can also help you relieve some of the tensions and the pain that you feel in your back!

BIRTH BALL SIZE:

We recommend the following birth ball:

Amazon US: https://amzn.to/3rva5Gu
Amazon UK: https://amzn.to/39ZjMXP

You can find a size guide in the product description of the ball that we recommend above!

From our experience though, the following sizes are okay given your body size:
Select Size S (38 – 45cm) if you are smaller than 4’8”
Select Size M (48 – 55cm) if you are between 4’8” and 5’4”
Select Size L (58 – 65cm) if you are between 5’4” and 5’8”
Select Size XL (68 – 75cm) if you are between 5’8’” and 6’3”
Select Size XXL (78 - 85cm) if you are taller than 6’3”

Please note: unfortunately, there is an error in one of our slides in the video. When we tell you which size is correct, if you are taller than 5'8", we say that you should go for the following size:
22.8"-25.6" (68-75cm)
The size (in cm) in brackets is correct, however, that size is 26.77" - 29.5" and not 22.8"-25.6" as we say in the video! We are very sorry for that mistake!!!
