PRR (NY&LB) Bay Head to Jersey City in the 1950s

Описание к видео PRR (NY&LB) Bay Head to Jersey City in the 1950s

Tracing the route PRR trains took on the New York & Long Branch (today's NJ Transit North Jersey Coast Line) from Bay Head to Jersey City via Elizabeth, and Exchange Place (closed 1963). The reason for the odd framing was to crop out thick film scratches on the right side of the frame.

00 - Bay Head Jct.
54 - Point Pleasant
27 - Brielle
09 - Sea Girt
18 - Asbury Park
49 - Monmouth Park
28 - Middletown
38 - Matawan
36 - Morgan Drawbridge
05 - South Amboy
02 - Elizabeth (apparently not all trains changed to electric engines at South Amboy as evidenced by the inbound steam power passenger train...obviously headed for Jersey City)
21 - the "Jersey City Terminal" footage is split between Journal Square and Exchange Place terminal (the PRR's tidewater passenger station. It closed in 1963)
