ADDITIONAL NOTE 1: You can block attacks while in the AIR. You can block Normal Air Attacks, no matter the direction, and some Special Moves.

NOTE 2: You can also string attacks, one after another to create a chain combo. Example: LP-MP-HP (also when crouching) etc.

NOTE 3: Additionally, you can Escape Throws for less damage taken. Press the throw input when the opponent is about to throw you.

Some characters have more than one Taunt. Press either Forward or Back plus the Taunt Button to perform.

LEGEND:
(The moves are done with the character facing right. If the character is facing left, they are done in reverse)

1. Movement Directions

↖ - upback
(Jumping Back)

↑ - up
(Jumping Upwards)

↗ - upforward
(Jumping Forward)

← - back
(Walking Back)

n - neutral
(Standing)

→ - forward
(Walking Forward)

↙ - downback
(Crouching Back*)

↓ - down
(Crouching)

↘ - downforward
(Crouching Forward*)

- there is no particular animation.

READ: If the Jump Forward or Jump Back attacks of a character have the same animation as the simple straight up Jump, they won't be listed in the character's Move List.

2. Attacks

LP - (Light Punch) * also named (Weak Punch)
MP - (Medium Punch) * also named (Strong Punch)
HP - (Heavy Punch) * also named (Fierce Punch)
LK - (Light Kick) * also named (Short Kick)
MK - (Medium Kick) * also named (Forward Kick)
HK - (Heavy Kick) * also named (Roundhouse Kick)

P - Any Punch Button
K - Any Kick Button
PP - Any two Punch Buttons (pressed at the same time)
KK - Any two Kick Buttons (pressed at the same time)
PPP - All Punch Buttons (pressed at the same time)
KKK - All Kick Buttons (pressed at the same time)

3. Motions

← ↙ ↓ - Press Back to Down in a quick motion.

READ: For Special Moves to work you must do the motion first then press the last movement direction plus the attack button at the same time. Example - Hadoken: do this first (↓ ↘) then press at the same time → + P. The same goes for all Special Moves, Super Moves or Alpha Counters.
