Hi y'all! Today I'm taking it back to the basics by explaining the general routes one can take with a career in accounting: Public vs Private/Industry. I got a comment asking this question and hope this is helpful for anyone new to the accounting profession.

Also - I forgot to mention that accounting for non-profit and government are part of industry as well! My background is in public accounting (assurance / external audit) and internal audit, so I tend to forget.... sorry 🥴.
