The Battle Against White-nose Syndrome

Описание к видео The Battle Against White-nose Syndrome

The scariest thing about bats is a world without them and white-nose syndrome (WNS) is a huge threat to North America's bats. The fungus has spread across the U.S. and Canada, killing 9 out of 10 little brown bats, northern long-eared bats, and tricolored bats. Twelve North American bat species are known to be susceptible to white-nose syndrome when they hibernate during winter. Learn more about WNS and how BCI is working to help bats survive it with Dr. Tina Cheng, Director of WNS Research. Learn more at stateofthebats.org.
