BOOK LIST:

1st of all, from my own experience I particularly want to say that coaching is not mandatory to prepare for and crack WBCS. Coaching is like a catalyst, which reduces the time of resource finding, but even without it reaction/ aim can be achieved. Regular self study is enough. I did not took coaching for any subject not even for optional( Anthropology).

History:

Read any one particular theory book which gives you interest.
I started with Tulsi's handbook(bengali version), then read few chapters from spectrum, arihant etc.
Solved complete one liner MCQ from Krishna Reddy, GK today, GK dunia, India Bix or any online site.

Geography:

Started with my class 10th basu maulik's geographt book( bengali version). Then read
Kartick Chandra Mandal.

Polity:
------------
Started with bengali version book of Anadi Kr Mahapatra. Then elaborate study from
M. Laxmikant.
Followed study lover Veer videos from youtube.

Economics:
-------------------
Started with bengali version Tojammel Hossain book. Then read
Economics for Civil Service Examination by cengage.
Followed economic lecture videos of Mrunal Patel fron youtube.

Science and Technology:

Started with my class 12 physics, chemistry and biology book.
Then read science book of Arihant.

EVS

The Ecology & Environment compendium by Disha publication( selective study)

Math & Reasoning:

Quicker Math by M.Tyra and RS Agarwal.

Current Affairs:
‐-----------------------
monthwise PDF material from Pratiyogita Abhijan was enough for me. (online available)
Daily followed NEXT EXAM' s daily current affairs videos feom youtube.

General Knowledge:
---------------------------------
lucent or Arihant any one.

Bengali and English:
-------------------------------
Followed any standard 12th standard book specially the format of writing.

Anthropology: (i wrote in english version)

Started with R. M. Sarkar's bengali version book for overall subject knowledge.
Then read many blogs and strategies of successful UPSC candidates, which helped me to make my own strategy and strategy of abswer writing.

Then Made my own notes consulting Anthropology Simplified by Dr. Vivek Dattatraya Bhasne, upal manna sir's note, Notes of Braintree and Munirathnam Reddy. (never took any coaching though the subject was completely new to me).

Answer writing is very much important, which was completely followed from simplified anthropology by Vivek Bhasme.

Practiced mcq from Kiran SSC previous years, IIMS publication's mcq book for upsc, arihant mcq book, GK today website, GK dunia website, Smartprep MCQ pdf, Kartick Chandra’s MCQ book, India Bix app.
Along with this solve any MCQ question you get from any website, book or app.

Strategy:
---------------
Studied regularly for 2-4 hours keeping one thing constant in my mind that is " I have to become a WBCS EXECUTIVE.
