According to the latest data from the Department of Health of the Hong Kong SAR Government over two million people in Hong Kong currently suffer from various common or chronic diseases affecting their daily lives to some extent.

In response, the Chinese Medicine School at The Chinese University of Hong Kong with funding from the Chinese Medicine Development Fund has launched the “Promotion Program for the Prevention and Treatment of Common Diseases with Chinese Medicine”. This program has selected 12 common urban diseases in Hong Kong and produced educational videos. These videos combine academic and popular science elements providing insights from multiple perspectives including Chinese Medicine’s diagnostic and treatment principles professional knowledge from Western medicine and real experiences from patients. The goal is to enhance the dissemination of Chinese medicine knowledge offering the public more practical information.
