Keystone Ski Resort Colorado 1/29/2022

It's a glorious, windless, cloudless, blue sky day at Keystone Ski Resort in Colorado. The whole mountain is open and skiers and riders are out in force. Today, we'll ski The Outback, Keystone's farthest peak from the base area. The quickest way back to The Outback starts with a ride up the River Run Gondola to the summit of Dercum Mountain, then a traverse to North Peak via the Outpost Gondola, then a quick descent down to the Outback Express lift, which takes you to the top of The Outback. From there, lots of challenging trails and open bowls are available. Today's trails include Elk Run, hiking the North Bowl (with a trip up Wapiti Peak - 12,354 ft.), Wolverine, Porcupine, and The Grizz. Then it's back to base via the Wayback lift, the Outpost Gondola, and a final run down Spring Dipper, The Edge, and finishing up on River Run. What a day!
