Yanchep National Park is a perfect place to bring young children just getting into hiking and outdoor adventure.

Yanchep NP has several walking trails that are suitable for all ages from the Wetlands Trail that I review in this video all the way up to the 51km Coastal Plains trail that starts in the park and heads out Yanchep National Park and into Perth's coastal plain.

I state in this video that the wet land trail is 2.7km long because I must have read that somewhere, but in actual fact, it is only 2km long according to all the signage in the park.

There are plenty of beautiful grass areas to have a picnic and kids can see kangaroos and koalas as well as give the tree-top rope course a go.

This national park is also going to be a great place to come and take photos of some pretty spectacular birdlife.

Yanchep is a National Park so there is a $17 entry fee per vehicle, unless you have one of a variety of national park passes that range from 5 days to 2 weeks, 4 weeks pass $30. All the way up to a 1 year $130 National Parks Pass. Then you can enter this park by placing your pass on the dash of your car.
