Touring Madrid by Bike!

This is the last installment of the documentation of our spring Spain vacation - our Madrid Bike Tour. It was supposed to be a 2-hour activity, but it turned into more than 3, including the tapas hangout at the end, taking up most of our day in the city. After this tour, the wifey and I just hung out in the city until our 3PM appointment at El Botin (no videos of that, unfortunately, just photos and shorts).
We always recommend bike tours , specially in Europe. You get to see more of the city, faster and the satisfaction of having the wind blowing in your face. Europe is very bike friendly (at least in all the cities we've bike-toured so far). Madrid is like that - but just watch out when you're touring later in the day as the alleys get crowded...I wouldn't recommend doing it in the afternoon and specially not on the weekend as you won't be able to get through on bike. You'll end up walking unless you're out of the historic center.
We were fortunate to have started it early on a Sunday morning, around 9:30 when not a lot of folks are up yet - but you'll see that as the day went on towards noon and after that, the crowds just kept growing.
Anyways, I hope this gives you an idea of what touring Madrid on a bike is like...Lots of sights to see and stuff to learn.
