Making Dinner from the Garden 🥗 & Sourdough Recipe Fail 🙃 | Weekly Weekend Vlog #71

Spend the weekend with us!

We have a lovely little weekend together, making dinner, going to the cinema and making a sourdough pancake.

Sourdough Recipe (use at your own risk, I'm taking no responsibility for any pancake loaves that may occur!)

150g active starter
270g tepid room temp ish water
500g bread flour
12g salt

- Mix starter and water together until milky, then add in the flower and salt and mix to a shaggy dough. Then leave on kitchen counter covered with a tea towel/fancy bread making cover.
- After approx 30 mins - 1 hour do a set of stretch and folds
- After another 1 hour do more stretch and folds
- Do as many stretch and folds as you can be bothered to on the hour
- Leave for around 6 hours (until the dough has nearly doubled in size - might be less if its warm!!!)
- Shape the dough into a ball and pop in the fridge overnight (covered in a tea towel)
- Pray to the sourdough gods
- Let dough come to room temp in the morning, then pop onto parchment paper and do any fancy scoring/decoration
- Pre-heat a dutch oven style receptacle on 270 degrees c for a minimum of 10 minutes
- Pop bread on the paper and into the dish, pop in the oven at around 250 for 30 mins
- Take lid off the dish and finish for 10-15 mins at around 220
