Chimpanzee and Human ancestor? Toumaï

Update

New analasis of leg fossils have changed opinions on Tumaï.

Some anthropologists believe Toumaï is the oldest Hominin fossil, though some class Toumai as a Hominid. They're a possible human and chimp common ancestor, but the story of our species divergance is getting ever more complicated the more we find out. This is a very brief intro into genetic studies and fossil finds on the origins of our own species.
