Commuters on Sheikh Zayed Road are familiar with Salik toll gates and now Dubai has two more in some of the most congested areas of the city.

The Al Mamzar Salik gate aims to de-congest one of the busiest roads in the city, while the Dubai Airport tunnel gate has been installed to keep traffic free-flowing around one of the world's busiest hubs.

While the RTA says extensive traffic studies led to the new gates, and will benefit commuters, not everyone agrees.

Emirates 24/7 on Dubai One's Priyanka Dutt went to speak with those affected to see the impact of the toll gates on the ground.
