Two Stroke Engine:
1. They can generate higher torque.
2. Easy lubrication due to mixing oil with the fuel. (required to mix oil and gasoline for the scooter to function properly)
3. Two stroke engines are less convenient and generate more smoke.
4. 2 stroke engines are louder.
5. 2T engines are more light weight

Four Stroke Engine:
1. Can generates less torque.
2. Less lubricating oil is requires because some oil burns with fuel.
3. Four stroke engines are more efficient and generate less smoke.
4. Four strokes are a lot quieter.
5. 4T engines are heavier than 2T engines

Two-Stroke Engines:
To start, the two main functions of a two-stroke engine are compression and combustion. This makes the scooter lightweight in comparison to other most 4 strokes. While two-stroke engines run more simplistically, their need for maintenance is usually much higher. However parts are a little on the cheaper side compared to four-stroke. So since 2T scooter tend to be lighter and faster they have an stronger surge of power. Which on the down side can make them a little more difficult to ride and handle.

Four-Stroke Engines:
Being more complex compared to two strokes, the four-stroke engine has four main functions: intake, compression, combustion and exhaust. Unlike two-stroke engines, the controlled power makes four-stroke engines are more stable which means there's less effort to ride. Also four-stroke engines, needs maintenance less frequently.

Basically, yes there's a different between them, but another key note you might want to keep in mind is that a smaller two-stroke engine size equals to that of a higher four-stroke engine size. For example a two-stroke 125 cc engine is practically the same as a 4-stroke 200cc. So in the end, It all comes down to personal preference since one is not technically better than the other. However, before you make your decision, you should cost of maintenance, consider experience, the size of the scooter, your over all comfort zone when handling a scooter. Either scooters will bring its own pros and cons. At the same time, you want to know what you're getting into before you buy.
