How to CLEAN your Car EGR valve & Electronic EGR Valve Testing (AFTER): Honda EGR Valves P0401 P0402

This is how to clean your car EGR valve and afterwards, electronic EGR valve testing to confirm cleaning. Essentially, this video also covers how to test electronic EGR valves or how to test an electronic EGR valve, with the test case being Honda EGR valves. This is a follow-up video to    • How to Test Electronic EGR Valves / H...  , where I first found out that the opening and closing times of the EGR valve were out of specification. Interestingly, I have no check engine light.
Symptoms of a failing EGR valve include: poor acceleration, increased fuel consumption, stalling, rough idle etc. If you are looking for how to clean or replace the EGR valve in your car, or how to fix EGR low flow, this is a good place to start. Cleaning the EGR valve can help fix codes such as P0401 or P0402 and a number of the other EGR-related trouble codes, from P0400 - P0408 etc.
This video also addresses EGR valve replacement in Honda, especially those with the K24A engine: 2003-2007 Accord, 2003 - 2006 Element, 2003 - 2008 Honda Odyssey. After cleaning, I retest the EGR using the active scan tool: Autel MP808TS, to see if the cleaning helped or whether the actuator in the EGR itself is failing. The exhaust gas recirculation valve is critical to the emissions' system of the modern day car where it helps improve efficiency and reduce the formation of oxides of nitrogen (NOx).
