Описание к видео Epic North Pole on icebreaker expedition cruise ship Le Commandant Charcot

Join our bucket list ‪@nextleveloz‬ Arctic adventure on Ponant icebreaker expedition cruise ship Le Commandant Charcot through the arctic circle to the North Pole and Scoresbysund Greenland. Will we see Polar Bears?

We do the long journey from Brisbane Australia to the North Pole via France then another flight to Svalbard before joining the Ponant icebreaker at Longyearbyen.

While in France we take some time to visit two sites of Australian soldier sacrifice on the bloody Somme battlefield of WW1 #sjmc australian national memorial villers bretonneux and Fromelles- Pheasant Wood and the tragic story of the lost diggers of Fromelles.

100% of our ad revenue goes to charity including Legacy, which is fitting as we visit Great War cemeteries. This month we will donate 100% of ad revenue because its Legacy Week in Oz.

We're David and Paula and like many people we've worked hard for 40 years. so we took a gap year from work and did a Big Lap of Australia, which has changed our life and outlook. Join us as we work out the balance and the next chapters of our future and travel and options. How much more big travel in our van and how much more other bucket list can we fit in? We don't know but lets find out.

This new adventure is with French company Ponant, so we travel via France. It can't a ‪@nextleveloz‬ adventure if we don't deviate a bit and visit some Australian history so we visit some war cemeteries of the Great War where so many young ANZACs from a young nation distinguished themselves - but also paid a massive sacrifice.

We visit the memorial to the story of the Lost Diggers of Fromelles at Pheasant Wood and then the Australian National Memorial at Villers-Bretonneux and the Sir John Monash Centre. Don't miss these sad chapters in Australia's and France's history.

After another charter flight to remote Svalbard, we do a short visit to isolated Longyearbyen and them finally join the highly capable icebreaking ship Le Commandant Charcot, to plot its way though the ice toward the North Pole, taking in the stark scenery of the Polar region and the wildlife. It wouldn't be a Polar bucket list if we don't really hope to see the Queen of the Arctic - the Polar Bear.

In this new ‪@nextleveloz‬ series, following our life changing Big Lap of Australia in our van, we are trying to find the right life balance and the best mix between the Oz van travel that we love and ticking off some iconic, overseas bucket list designations.

The Gap Year just got that bit longer.

We aren't influencers, we don't have sponsors and 100% of our Youtube ad revenue goes to charity.

Please like, subscribe and share. Hopefully you find the vids interesting and we can send a bit of money off the Legacy and RFDS while we're all sharing and watching these dreams and adventures coming true.

And please also share with other friends and don't forget, constructive comments and shares are very, very welcome.

And don't worry we will be back in the van soon! We love the Oz travel so much. so we just can't decide the right mix. But for now, enjoy this epic journey to the Arctic polar region.
