作･演出家の藤吉みわが主宰する劇団ズッキュン娘の第15回本公演「ハリケーン･マリア」
本作は、大型新人女優として期待された主人公が身近な友人の裏切りでどん底に叩き落されるが、ふるさとの商店街の住人たちの信じる気持ちと、見返りを期待しない心からの応援を糧に、奇跡の復活を遂げる社会派青春群像劇。
cool japanの裏側に潜むSNSを中心とする心無いデジタルの嵐を、主人公の仲間たちが投入してくるリアルで惜しげのない無償の愛が撃破していく様を万国共通のわかりやすい感動とともに表現。
漫画喫茶や戦隊ヒロインなど、cool japanをストレートに表すアイコンたちも登場して、今の若者の日本文化をひとつの切り口で紹介。
今まさに日本社会で問題となっている「SNSのもたらす心無い世論」に打ちひしがれる主人公が、リアルな仲間たちの心からの行動によって立ち直っていく感動のストーリー。
2021年1月20日から24日までの5日間にわたり東京銀座博品館劇場で7ステージを実施。初日と千秋楽は生中継による配信も実施した。

"Hurricane Maria" is the 15th performance of the Theater Company Zukkyun Musume, led by writer/director Miwa Fujiyoshi.
This is a socially-conscious coming-of-age ensemble cast drama in which the main character, a promising new actress, is devastated by the betrayal of her closest friend, but makes a miraculous comeback thanks to the faith and heartfelt support of the people in her hometown's shopping arcade, who do not expect anything in return.
They express with universal and easy-to-understand emotion how the real unconditional love of Maria's friends defeats the mindless digital storm centered on social networking services that lurks behind the Cool Japan craze that is sweeping the world today.
With icons that straightforwardly symbolize Cool Japan, such as manga cafes and tokusatsu superheroines, they also introduce Japanese culture of today's youth from a single angle.
It is a moving story of Maria, the main character, who is devastated by the "mindless public opinion brought about by social networking services," which is now a problem in Japanese society, and how she recovers through the thoughtful actions of her real-life friends.
Seven performances were held over five days at the Hakuhinkan Theater in Ginza, Tokyo from January 20 to January 24, 2021. The first and last performances were streamed live.
