Mizoram: Chakma Association stages protest against attacks on Chakmas in Chittagong

The Central Young Chakma Association (CYCA), the largest organization representing Mizoram's Chakma community, staged a protest on Sunday in Chawngte, located within the Chakma Autonomous District Council, condemning ongoing violence against indigenous people in the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) of Bangladesh.

Alongside the protest, CYCA and several Chakma NGOs submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi through the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of Chawngte, seeking India’s intervention in the crisis.
