We're not ourselves when we're triggered-- we become who we think we need to be to
SURVIVE. And when we're CONSTANTLY being triggered, our identity can start to slip away-- because our personality and values are CONSTANTLY getting hijacked by fight-or-flight reflexes.

Triggered reactions are age regressions. Not only do you regress into a child, but you regress into an experience. When we are triggered, we overlay past emotions onto a present experience. Learning to use triggers as a path of self-inquiry and self-knowledge frees you.

It will make your life miserable and show up as a weakness to not know how to work with your triggers. Working with your triggers consciously is a primary key to both healing and the path of self-knowledge. And it begins in the body - not the head. You have to be able to feel your emotions even to know you're triggered in the first place.
Embodiment - is vital.

I get it. I get that your life seems unfair and everything that happened to you. Yet! This is a wounded inner child talking to us. So now it is your turn to Stop dismissing yourself and what you want. Now you know better.

Having a wounded inner child is described as losing connection to your soul. To bring your soul back online, you have to heal your contact with that child: the innocent, playful, creative, and whole and complete part of you.

Your inner child needs you to be the ideal parent you never had. Your emotional maturity will often be stuck at the age that your inner child was most wounded. Through reparenting your inner child, you radically change.
Inner child healing is coming home to your true self.
