*While this build will still work the game has changed multiple times and so it is no longer the most optimal setup*

Magicka Dragonknight - 46.5k - Molten Whip Rotation - Scalebreaker Ready - No Trials Gear

With the changes that have come in for Scalebreaker i have changed around CP’s and gear to try and keep the damage as high as possible. I have tested with False Gods in place of BSW and the damage was the same. The only set that would increase the output would be Mantle of Siroria, however, i’m still farming body pieces for this as i haven’t spent much time in CR.

I’ll be posting a video with a new dot rotation after testing.

Monster Set - Zaan (Heavy head and Medium Shoulders - Both Divine)
5 Piece, set 1 - Burning Spellweave (3 jewellery pieces and 1 Staff)
5 Piece, set 2 - Mother’s Sorrow (5 body pieces)
Specialist Weapon 2 - vMA Inferno Staff

Front bar weapon is (Precise Burning Spellweave Inferno Staff with Flame Damage Glyph.
Back bar weapon is Infused vMA Inferno Staff with Absorb Magicka Glyph.
All body pieces are in Divine with Max Magicka Glyphs.
All jewellery pieces are in Arcane with Spell Damage Glyphs.

Notes:
All gear is gold with gold with gold Glyphs where applicable.

Zaan, can be swapped out for Grothdarr, Valkyn Skoria, Slimecraw, Maw of The Infernal or Ilambris (if swapping for Ilambris you will need to change Glyph from Flame to Shock or use a Lightning Staff to benefit from all procs available)

If you don’t yet have a vMA Inferno Staff then use a random crafted Inferno Staff to maintain control of the BSW proc.

Y - Engulfing Flames (Fiery Breath)
B - Molten Whip (Lava Whip)
LB - Elemental Drain (Weakness to Elements) - Flex Spot
RB - Inner Light (Mage Light)
Ulti - Shooting Star (Meteor)

Back Bar Skills:

X - Unstable Wall of Elements (Wall of Elements)
Y - Eruption (Ash Cloud)
B - Flames of Oblivion (Inferno)
LB - Rearming Trap (Trap Beast)
RB - Inner Light (Mage Light)
Ulti - Standard of Might (Dragonknight Standard)

Notes:
All unmorphed skill names are in brackets.

Elemental Drain can be swapped for a shield should you require one (Harness or Dampen Magicka - Morph of Annulment) or if you’re running content where you are support chaining for a tank you can slot in Unrelenting Grip (morph of Fiery Grip).

You may also run content where an interrupt is required, you can slot Crushing Shop in place of Molten Whip or Ele Drain.

Shooting Star can be swapping for Elemental Rage (Morph of Elemental Storm), and this can be used for situations where high burst is required and also for trash pulls.

Vamp - Stage 3 (will need to be taken down depending on what content you’re running, however i run at stage 4 and rarely run into any problems)

Potions - Essence of Spell Power (Cornflower, Lady’s Smock, Water Hyacinth)

Mundus - The Shadow

Notes:
Altmer offers best overall damage, with Dunmer being a close second, Breton offers the best overall sustain and Khajiit is still a valid option.

If you don’t want to use Potions slot Igneous Weapons in place of Elemental Drain and cast every 3rd rotation, reducing Molten Whip casts by 1 to compensate.

I actually didn’t have Vamp applied for this test, however, this will be changed shortly.

Note:
Red CPs - the setup I use is an even distribution to try and cover all damage types you may encounter, however, you may find that certain content requires you to make significant changes to mitigate certain damage types so you should keep this in mind and always check with the group lead to be sure.

Rotation:

1 Back Bar - Light Attack - Unstable Wall of Elements - Light Attack - Eruption - Light Attack - Flames of Oblivion - Light Attack - Rearming Trap - Swap

2 Front Bar - [Light Attack - Molten Whip x 2] - Light Attack - Burning Embers - Light Attack - Engulfing Flames - Swap

3 Back Bar - Light Attack - Unstable Wall of Elements - Swap

4 Front Bar - [Light Attack - Molten Whip x 5] - Light Attack - Burning Embers - Light Attack - Engulfing Flames - Light Attack - Elemental Drain - Swap and restart from 1

Notes:

Using an Ultimate on a DK restores a lot of resources so this can be used to your advantage to help in managing sustain.

Elemental Drain will be applied by healers so in group content replace with an extra cast of Whip.
