Welcome back to my channel! I’m Dr. Aziza Sesay a GP with a specialist interest in women’s and gynaecological health. We’re back with the mythbusting series and today we’ll be diving into a condition that's often misunderstood and riddled with myths - Adenomyosis!

Adenomyosis is a condition where the tissue that normally lines the womb grows into the muscular wall of the uterus causing symptoms such as heavy painful, periods, pelvic pain, bloating and pain during sex. These symptoms can be quite severe and debilitating significantly affecting those diagnosed with it. Unfortunately, there is not enough awareness raised about it so let’s talk about it by busting some common myths.
