Instagram influencers can charge anywhere between $100 and $3,000 per post. Even if you are a micro-influencer with less than 3,000 followers, it is still a lot of money for just one Instagram post.

Instagram is very important for a model in this day and age as it serves as a portfolio for professional and aspiring models. Many top agencies like next models, IMG models, ford models, etc have a dedicated instagram scouting team that often uses hashtags to search for new faces.

In a Style Caster interview with an agent from Wilhelmina, the agent said “It’s critical. Social media, particularly Instagram, allows a client to see another layer of a model; their personality, candid shots with friends, their lifestyle and interests, and what they look like on a day to day basis. Social media is being used, whether we like it or not, by clients to look up a model before they consider booking that model for a shoot. So in a way, Instagram is now an extension of portfolios.“
