This radio spot is informing the general public that bird trapping may have been considered a tradition in the past but nowadays is contributing to an ecological disaster, killing hundreds of thousands of birds of different species every year, and is asking the listener to do a Christmas gift to nature and say NO to ambelopoulia.
BirdLife Cyprus' dynamic campaign is aiming to have an impact on the general public; to make it realise the ecological disaster that bird trapping constitutes. For December (2012), the Christmas message 'Make a gift to nature, say NO to ambelopoulia' (only in Greek) will be playing on 2 radio stations in Cyprus, ANT1 (102.7 & 103.7FM) and ASTRA (92.8FM). The campaign is made possible thanks to the generous support of the RSPB (partner of BirdLife International in the UK).
