I so wish I would've had the new rig back when I was making this, so much I could've improved. But alas. And it's not too shabby, I'm still fairly proud of most of it. I can just see so much I could've made more epic and less rigid. That said, this was made to order as the original version I cooked up was pretty lackluster to not just my expectations, but the guys at Shinesparkers too. Thankfully or not, a system corruption screwed up the file before it was backed up and I had to start from scratch. That ended up being a godsend as it is so much better than the first draft. The slow build the explosion of boss battle-ready music was pretty much the group consensus of where to take the song so while it takes a while to get started, that's just the point. Creeping along into this bad boy's lair before facing down the monstrosity himself for some intense action. And then finishes it all off with a rather famous Metroid motif since I'm shameless about throwing those around in remixes. :P
It was a well received tune and like Hostile Shadows of the album before surprisingly I'm seeing a lot of people list it as among their favorites. Which is especially humbling and heart-warming considering the mass of incredible talent that poured some pretty spectacular work into the album. Definitely go check it out if you're a Metroid fan or just a lover of varied music, it's a must have and free at that!
