The Amethi-Raebareli suspense has finally ended. Rahul Gandhi is set to fight from Raebareli, and Congress' KL Sharma will face BJP firebrand Smriti in Amethi. The Congress' early-morning decision on Amethi and Raebareli had a big twist when it fielded Rahul from Raebareli, announced that Priyanka is not contesting, and pitted KL Sharma against Irani. In Amethi—the family bastion which lost to the BJP 5 years ago to Smriti Irani—the Congress will be represented by KL Sharma, leaving no Gandhi in Amethi this time. Rahul and KL Sharma are scheduled to file their nomination papers today—the last date for the filing of nominations for the seats that will go to polls on May 20.
