In this video, I take a deep dive into the Ravenloft Domain of Dread known as Markovia. The island of Markovia has very little info in 5E (just one short paragraph), but thankfully there's an old module - Neither Man Nor Beast - that I was able to use to get more flavor (although I ended up going down the 'sapient animals' route that's suggested in 5E's Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft). It was a bit of an odd one to run as my players visited there multiple times - on three separate occasions (so far) - only for a session or two each time, rather than only going once and spending a while there (which is often the case with other domains). I talk about what resources, maps, music and hook I used, as well as how I roleplayed the domain's Darklord, Dr Frantisek Markov, a.k.a. Dr Fran. I also say "long story short" a lot... 😅🙈
