You can call this VOD a filler. Don't watch. Honestly I was almost tempted to delete it afterwards, but remembered the reason I'm streaming in the first place is for archival reasons. I'm recording everything, from my triumphs to my failures.

I've already talked so much about the bullshittery this game pulls sometimes, so I won't talk about it anymore, especially in these post stream journals (I guess that's the right term?). This time though, I'm wondering how much my decision to stream affected my frustration levels. So far, I've enjoyed the environment and mindset that streaming gives to my gaming sessions. It makes the time I give to gaming (my greatest passion) much more special. It makes everything I do more meaningful. It makes me more mindful of time since I can't just stream whenever. However, because streaming also has its limitations. Because there is now a cut off of when I have to get back to my regular real life responsibilities, I don't want to just start late and leave very little time for playing or else the session won't feel as satisfying or it'd feel like I'm cutting the excitement. This means streaming is something premeditated that I have to base my day around. It also means that I can't just pop open the game whenever like I usually do. All of this kind of drives me to get SOMETHING done during the session. It hasn't been that bad of a lingering thought over the past few streams, but this one I feel like it kind of affected me a bit. That's why I was desperate to at least get something from New Londo Ruins, or beat the dragons and get into the castle. For the former, at the very least if I got my souls back I could level up and feel like I progressed a little. Of course, this is textbook sunk cost fallacy, but that's not something you can really do much about in the moment you know? For the next streams I'm going to try not letting that need to "get something done" overtake my gaming, since it's clearly led me to have a pretty bad time (although that is still partly because of the game's bullshittery, but whatever not the point).
