When using the Petrogen system it's important to maintain a 1/2 to 1 inch coupling distance (space between the tip and steel). Be patient when starting the cut to ensure that the oxygen jet has completely pierced the steel before aggressively proceeding with the cut. The angle of the tip should be maintained at 90 degrees relative to the surface of the steel.
