This week Ive listened to Roger Evans on The House of Stag Podcast and he described Ewan as a generous.This is an excerpt from a reddit discussion on the deeper meaning of being generous as an actor:

"Yes, being very vulnerable and open as an actor and giving your scene partner real emotions and a part of yourself to work with. Also having a deep understanding of the whole scene and the other actors characters, their motivations/feelings etc and not just your own. Someone Ewan worked with on The Halcyon actually said Ewan knew every single one of their lines (which they also said is basically unheard of for actors) and spent a long time before shooting discussing their characters interactions down to precise detail. He’s an extremely dedicated, talented, hard-working and genuine, professional actor, in it for the art form and not the glamour. Has a huge career ahead of him based on his work ethic alone! "
