Dolap - by Taldans

A man, a woman and between them: a refrigerator monster as tall as a person, center stage. The man (Turkish choreographer Mustafa Kaplan) makes the fridge topple onto the woman lying on the floor. The audience holds its breath as dancer Filiz Sizanli takes the entire weight of the fridge with her feet and thrusts it back in Kaplan’s direction. A wild and increasingly risky back- and-forth exchange begins. That is how the two-part piece “Dolap” by Mustafa Kaplan starts. He has become known as one of the boldest choreographers in Turkey.
