UMHS White Coat Ceremony (September 2020 cohort)

A rite of passage for medical students that emphasizes humanism in medicine, a white coat is placed on each student’s shoulders signifying their entrance into the medical profession.

The White Coat Ceremony is an opportunity to celebrate first-year medical students at UMHS. During this year’s virtual ceremony, family and friends can learn more about the experiences and daily life of their medical students through guest speakers and presentations. Most importantly, witness as students take their first symbolic step in the practice of medicine.
