Gorilla blackback Shufai watches his aunt Asante as she sits in her nest with a great big log. I was half expecting him to steal it from her as he watched her closely, but as I zoomed in on Asante, he made his way down to the floor and got his own big log. The gorillas enjoy the bark of the log, which gives them sodium.
After lunch Asante got hold of a cloth and showed it off as her new hat, which later became a scarf. A simple moment that turns into gorilla fashion.
