On this visit, we were simply told that there's a cemetery somewhere in the woods in this general location.

Random slate stone piles litter the woods, and a few depressions were present, but nothing concrete pointing to a cemetery. A quick search of the piles showed no names carved in any of the slate markers, and only one that seemed to have some sort of machined work.

After 20 minutes of searching, I finally spotted evidence near the edge of the woods in the form of yucca.

We were later told that those slate piles I saw were likely once fieldstone markers marking the graves, and that the land was cleared many years ago, and all of the slate fieldstone markers were pushed into piles back in the woods. The yucca is where the cemetery lies.

I film cemeteries, graveyards, church yards, nature, and other places I find interesting. Cemeteries are beautiful, peaceful places to reflect and I want to help preserve the the way they looked at a certain time.
