27/6 Grenadier mini review - bogging the merlo - cows need more food!

busy few days we still have the grenadier gets a mini review and surprise surprise Cilla I LOVE IT, more like a G-wagon than a defender I’d think equally as brick shaped as both but cheaper than one and more reliable than the other and added bonus no tin worm 😂👌 arm rests come as standaaard whit whoooooooooooo, anyhow back to farming, nigel from ridgeline calls in on the way to the highland show, roy goes dogging with the merlo for the portequip trailer thats been in a field for two years, bogs both of them but miraculously gets both out unscathed, i dry loads of cows off and we talk about the mistake we have made feeding cows down one sofe of the shed, i take matters in to my own hands trying to fix this problem and nearly let the cows escape!!



My name is Charlotte Ashley and as of earlier this month I’m a dairy farmer and we milk 120 jerseys and associated followers on two Lely astronaught A5s
-A quick rundown if you are new to the channel I’m not from farming, Social media started as a casual interest in photography and farming combined I was a very green city girl and had a very excitable view of farming sharing it with my friends from city areas and it has grown from that into youtube and all other associated platforms below.

in 2009 i had no experience of farming or the realities that came with it. That soon changed when I met my other half Roy, I had a job as a carer and in every spare moment threw myself into farming. I had only ever driven a Nissan Micra and had experience with horses, I learnt the hard way as nobody had the time to show me and soon after arriving I found myself mothering on calves to three quarter bred limmy cows. We spent every available moment on the farm between our day jobs. Fast forward to 2016 two children later we moved into our very own farm overlooking the northern Pennines, Laitha.

I am overjoyed to be a farmer. I feel so fortunate every day to wake up and do what I love and even better share it with the world and hope it inspires more young people to spread their wings and think outside the box the world needs more farmers.
