International Narcotic Drug Cartel Busted.
Five Key Members Of The Cartel Including Its Kingpin Arrested.
23 kgs. Of fine Quality Heroin Recovered.

One Swift And One Wagon-R Car Having Secret Cavities, Used For Concealing and Transporting The Heroin Seized.
Heroin Was Smuggled In India From Myanmar Via Manipur.

A team of Special Cell/Southern Range, led by Inspr. Shiv Kumar and Inspr. Karamvir Singh under the supervision of ACP Attar Singh has busted an International narcotic drug cartel by arrested its five key members namely :-
Uday Kumar (age 30 years) s/o Vishwanath Prasad r/o Village Saidpur Dighwara, Distt. Saran, Bihar,
Subodh Das (age 26 years) s/o Ram Naresh Das r/o Musan Tola, Kamruddin Pur, Distt. Begusarai, Bihar,
Sanjeev Kumar (age 25 years) s/o Sahdev Das r/o Musan Tola, Kamruddin Pur, Distt. Begusarai, Bihar,
Nityanand (age 28 years) s/o Kapil Bhagat r/o village Padam Pukhuri, Distt. Golaghat, Assam and
Rahul Handique (age 30 years) s/o Nareshwar Handique r/o Village Betonipalhar, Distt. Golaghat, Assam.
Uday Kumar, Subodh Das and Sanjeev Kumar were arrested on 08.09.2020 in late evening hours from Outer Ring Road, near Mukundpur chowk, Delhi. Twenty (20) kgs. heroin i.e. 5 kgs. from each of above three and another 5 kgs. from the swift car having used by them was recovered. The Swift car was having secret cavities in shape of pipes placed beneath the running board of the car. Further, Nityanand and Rahul were arrested on 09.09.2020 in evening hours from T-point, Ring Road, Bhairon Road, Pragati Maidan, Delhi and 3 kgs heroin i.e. 2 kgs from Nityanand and 1 kg from Rahul was recovered. A wagon-R car having secret cavity behind the music system used for concealing of drugs was also seized from duo.
INFORMATION AND OPERATION
Special Cell in its tirade against drug suppliers has busted several narcotic drug cartels in the past by arresting various members of these cartels and by recovering huge consignments of heroin. A team of Special Cell was working on an information that an International narcotics cartel is active in the states of Manipur, Assam, UP, Bihar and Delhi. Members of this cartel were involved in receiving supply of heroin in Bokajan (Assam) which came from Myanmar through Manipur and further supplied this drug to various parts of the country. This information was further developed through human surveillance. It took painstaking efforts of 4 months to develop this information. During this process, members of this cartel were identified and their activities were kept under discreet surveillance. 
On 08.09.2020, a specific information was received by Special Cell that three members of this cartel namely Uday, Subodh and Sanjeev (all residents of Bihar) had collected a big consignment of heroin from NE India and they will come near Mukundpur Chowk between 6 PM to 7 PM to deliver the supply of contraband to one of their contacts. A raiding party was constituted and trap was laid near Mukundpur Chowk, Delhi where a swift car bearing No. AS-01-BX-8380 stopped at about 6:15 PM. One occupant of the car later on identified as Uday Kumar with a back-pack bag came out from car and started waiting for someone. After 5 minutes, members of police team surrounded Uday. On seeing this, two other occupants of the car, later on identified as Subodh and Sanjeev, with back-pack bags came out from car and attempted to escape by running but both were also nabbed by the police team. Trio were searched and 15 kgs heroin i.e. 5 kgs from each was recovered. During search of swift car 5 kgs. heroin was recovered from the specially designed cavity in pipe beneath the running board of the car. A case under the appropriate sections of law under NDPS act was registered at PS Special Cell. 

Arrested accused persons have disclosed that they had procured supply of recovered heroin from one Nityanand of Assam to deliver the same to a person in Delhi. They also disclosed that said Nityanand with his associate driver namely Rahul had also accompanied them upto Lucknow in their wagon-r car bearing Assam number. Nityanand and Rahul stopped in Lucknow to deliver another consignment of heroin to a person. They also disclosed that both the above had to meet them in Delhi with more heroin to supply the same in Delhi. In pursuant of disclosures of arrested persons, Nityanand and Rahul were nabbed near bus stop, T-point Ring Road-Bhairon Road, Delhi at about 8:20 PM in their wagon-r car bearing No. AS-03-T-0186 and 3 kgs. heroin was recovered from duo.

Background & Criminal history
During interrogation it has been revealed that they are members of a big international narcotic drug cartel being run by Nityanand himself. Arrested Nityanand has stated that the recovered consignment of heroin was supplied to him by a notorious drug supplier of Manipur. Nityanand further disclosed that the said person has links with drug suppliers in Myanmar and Manipur.
