Chapter Two

"Ancient Mountain Call"

The Yeti Tribal Council has been summoned and has sat in deliberation for many days. Contemplation over the fate of the Cold Games has been long and grave.

The tribes' traditional contest for honours is the Tournament of Bear Wrestling. Now that the tribes are scattered down the steep mountain slopes, word of the prestigious event is signalled by yodels echoing from peak to peak, gathering the four tribes to the hallowed territory of the Rainbow Chief, where the sport takes place.

This season sees the Green Tribe, whose banner is the mighty Nuptse, as promoters of the Tournament. Their calls resonate throughout the valleys, sometimes with astounding effect. Red Yetis, who bear the Changtse standard, are secretive with their wrestling strategies and huddle in their caves grunting about powerful combinations with their wrestling masters.
