This is actually the first cue I sequenced from TMP, looking to familiarize myself with the orchestral palette of the film. As always, Jerry loves to use extended techniques and odd, one-off instruments. Fun challenges included mimicking the rare "Transceleste" instrument with several different pitch shifted vibraphone channels (see 1:31-1:34 ), and using a cluster in the french horns to simulate a Tam-Tam being rubbed with a superball (the so called "Star Scream" sound effect 0:46 ).
