Charles McKimson (1914-1999) was the younger brother of animators Robert McKimson and Thomas McKimson, he began his career on animation by working as an animator for Tex Avery's unit at Leon Schlesinger Productions, he left the Tex Avery unit to serve in the US Army Signals Corps during World War 2, after returning to Warner Brothers Cartoon studios in 1946, he was assigned as a lead animator for his older brother Robert McKimson's unit. After Warner Brothers Cartoon studios closed briefly in 1954, Charles served as a comic book and coloring book artist for Dell.

Charles McKimson was usually assigned to animating close-ups of the characters, he tends to give them hand gestures and Groucho Marx like expressions.
