Normally, when calibrating the reactor before experimentation the discrepancy between temperatures in Port 1 and Port 2 does not exceed 1-2%. Should the parameters change over time for some reason, for example due to cracks in the reactor housing, it will still be easy to account for when examining the information collected by the data logger.

When running LENR experiments, an indication of as little as 5% excess heat would normally be accounted for as "within the margins of error". However, the Model T allows the researcher to switch the position of the cores between the ports of the reactor during operation, back and forward in order to determine the efficiency of one particular fuel mix composition to a higher degree of certainty.
