Buttermilk is the most technically challenging trails in Richmond, Virginia. It is part of the James River Park System (JRPS), a series of mixed use trails for hikers, dog walkers and mountain bikers. Buttermilk follows the southern side of the river and goes from the Manchester bridge to the Nickel Bridge.

Buttermilk is full of rocks and roots, and like most trails in this area, a lot of quick ups and downs. After all, we're not in the mountains. But lately I've been wondering how awesome this trail would be if we were. What is it was all downhill? This video showcases all the fun downhill sections from East to West, regardless of the actual riding direction. Meaning it is the best of both ways, but ordered in one way. Yeah its confusing no matter how I try to describe it, just watch and enjoy the fast, chunky mountain biking action!
