“Discussed important issues,” says Bangladesh FM Hasan Mahmud on meeting India’s NSA Doval

Bangladesh minister Muhammad Hasan Mahmud is on his first official visit to India where he lauded the relationship between India and Bangladesh and said that the ties between both the countries is excellent and that any visit of the ministers of either countries helps in strengthening the relationship.
Speaking further, he informed that the he is India on the invitation of the foreign minister of India and that he is thankful for the same.

While speaking to ANI he said that, "We are two brotherly countries. We have excellent ties between the two countries. Any visit of a Bangladesh minister or an Indian minister to Bangladesh definitely strengthens our ties...We value the visit because I have come here on the invitation of the Foreign Minister of India. We are thankful to the Indian Government and especially to the Foreign Minister for inviting me here. Definitely, this visit will contribute to the relationship”.
