In Chichewa (Malawi's local language) we say: "Madzi ndi moyo" or "Water is Life".

We started working in the village of Kachere in 2010; we first planted a church as there was no Evangelical church there ever before. In 2012 we saw the need to take care of the local orphan and malnourished children, so we built a Feeding Centre. We soon realized there was an acute water problem in the village, as ladies doing the cooking had to walk 6 hours/day just to bring the vital water.

We prayed, we shared the need and God provided. A little over 1 year after starting the Feeding Centre, we were able to dig a water well which serves the community day in and day out. The water never ended and all the people of the village have free, unlimited access to it.

In this video, we were flushing the borehole from all the mud and sediments, in preparation for installing the pump!
