Have you heard the quote, “Build your own dream or someone will hire you to build theirs?” It goes something like that, it may not be exact. It’s not my quote, so I’m not going to get that perfect but the idea is there and it’s all about building this dream or going to work for somebody else in helping build theirs and what I find so often with people is the reason why they work for someone else or they help build someone else’s dream is because they haven’t found what they are truly passionate about. Now, I’ve talked about this before, for me specifically, the awakening or Aha I had from my passion came when I read the book, “The Alchemist,” there’s a link in the video below the caption here that you can grab about, The Alchemist, and in that book there is a quote that says, “Everyone when they are young knows what their destiny is.” Now, I know I have that quote exactly right because it‘s one of my favorite quotes and it impacted me and helped me remember what I absolutely love which is teaching and I get to teach on a fantastically regular basis either through speaking engagements or through my writing or through this little videos. I’m still teaching people something to help them be better.

So what is it that you dreamed of when you were little? What was your destiny that when you had no inhibitions as a child, what did that look like? And what are you currently doing to pave the way there? And maybe some time over the course of your childhood into adulthood your dream shifted or changed or morph, but what are you doing right now to capture that passion and work towards it? Maybe you’re working a corporate job but you have a side hassle, you have a passion or something extra that you’re doing? – That’s what I’m talking about, that dream.

You don’t have to launch into it full time as an entrepreneur and I caution you that if you want to be a business center and an entrepreneur you take the right action steps in order to get there but if that’s not quite what you’re looking for then figuring out how to incorporate your dream into your everyday life. Maybe it’s getting involved with a nonprofit? Maybe it’s volunteering your time? Maybe it’s figuring our getting back to an old hobby that you love and selling some goods on Etsy. Whatever it is, I implore you over this down holiday time to figure out what is your destiny? What is your legacy? What is it that you are dreaming of building and then start.
