BaoFeng UV-5R scans operation has three modes. This video demonstrates the Search (SE) scan mode to find an active frequency starting at the beginning of the 2 meter band (144.000 Mhz). Once an active frequency breaks the squelch the scan stops. ARRG K7RPT repeater on 147.040 MHz was found at the tail end of a net.
