SrimadJinasenaacharya (9th century AD) was a Jain Muni and Acharya in the Digambara tradition. He was patronized by the Rashtrakuta king Amoghavarsha Nrupatunga. He was the author of Adipurana and Mahapurana. His Guru was Acharya Veerasena and Acharya Gunabhadra was his student(Shishya).
His famous work Mahapurana is an inspiration to modern day NASA scientists. One of them is Carl Sagan, He believes that no one created this world as told in the other religions, and this world is there for infinite time in past and future. This quote is mentioned in the Mahapurana.
Acharya Jinasena completed the commentary Dhavala on Ṣaṭkhaṅḍāgama, a revered text in the Digambara tradition. The name is shared by an earlier Acharya Jinasena who was the author of Harivamsa Purana.
SrimadJinasenaacharya was died in 10th century AD.
