it's been a lifelong dream of mine to direct the play stupid f*cking bird ever since i was in a production of it in my freshman year of high school... and this past semester at yale, i had the chance to make that dream come true!! so of course, i had to document the process of tech week and share it with you guys... hope u enjoy ;)

hi friends!! i'm so excited to share this video that is a little bit different from my usual content with you all... it's a vlog of my most important project this semester and honestly, from my whole life thus far :3 i directed a play for the first time ever, and it was honestly a whirlwind of experiences, so i had to film it all for you guys!!

i've never done something of this caliber before, because even as an actor i think you are invested in a show in a very different way than a director is. as director, i had to apply for a slot, get funding, get props, manage a team, and lead the actors towards a collective vision for our baby (what i like to call the play lol). it was the most stressful and rewarding process i've ever undergone, and i came out of it having learned so much about myself and what it means to be an artist and creator. i hope that this little look into my directorial debut can be a testament of that, and encourage you guys as well to go out of your comfort zone and try something you've never done before!

go out there and create!! challenge yourselves, and don't be afraid to grow!! i love you and thank u as always for watching me cause chaos on the internet lol...until next time 𓈒⟡₊⋆∘˚⊹ ࿔
