Every Room Has a Story: Inside the Ximenez-Fatio House Museum, St. Augustine

One of the many reasons people visit the northeast Florida city of St. Augustine is for its amazing architecture. Four decades before the English colonized Jamestown and more than half a century before the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock, the Spanish established at St. Augustine the nation’s first enduring settlement.

We were recently invited inside the Ximenez-Fatio House Museum, one of the best-preserved and most authentic Second Spanish Period residential buildings in the city.

In this episode, we introduce you to our new friends Julia and Ryan who take us on a tour and tell us why this former boarding house is so important to preserve for future generations.
