This fully authorized EP was recorded with a single mic in the middle of the room as a proof of concept and edited by the Hug Animal who played guitar. Show Me The Way To Go Home is one of two covers attempted by Hug Animal.


Hug Animal

Hug Animal was a band from 2013 to 2014 which never once practiced or played a show. The way Hug Animal operated was to discuss nothing beforehand but to just start making noise while recording everything. The songs were later discovered and cut out of these hour-long recording sessions. The songs are both musically and lyrically stream of consciousness and edited as little as possible.

Hug Animal consisted of a Hug Animal on guitar, a Hug Animal on bass, a Hug Animal on drums, and a Hug Animal crafting the lyrics on the fly. Everything was recorded and edited in a basement in New Jersey while an unattended child ran rampant through the rest of the house.

In the relatively short time Hug Animal was active they released two "bootleg" albums cut from the first night the band ever played together. After that they come out with a full-length album, Free and Easy, and a Christmas album, No Barks For Christmas. There were also two unreleased albums which were almost complete at the time the band broke up.
