Unhappy Married Life of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh. Rishi Kapoor is undoubtedly one of the greatest names in Indian cinema and passing away of this actor is surely a great loss for Bollywood. It is very unfortunate that the married life of this handsome, talented and charismatic actor, was not full of happiness. Started in 1975, their relationship was solid like a rock but the journey of these 44 years was like a roller coaster ride for them.

1. Marriage :- Rishi Kapoor and Neetu got married in the year 1980 after dating each other for 5 year. In an interview with Times of India Neetu said that she never fell in love with Rishi Kapoor. It was Rishi Kapoor who fell in love with Neetu and made her sure she also she also loves him.

2. Neetu’s Career :- After their marriage Rishi Kapoor forced Neetu to leave her career in bollywood. But at that time Neetu Kapoor was at the peak of her career and was doing great movies. The Kapoor lads always choose famous actresses as their partners but after marriage they force them to quit their career.

3. Insecure Rishi Kapoor :- Being forced by her Sasural Neetu was bound to quit her shining career in Bollywood. Rishi Kapoor was very strict and demanding partner in the beginning of their marriage. According to Daily Hunt Rishi Kapoor didn’t let Neetu go out of the house after 8:30pm. He was too insecure to do a movie where Neetu’s role was more prominent.

4 . Blame Game :- Every actor goes through rough patches in his career and Rishi Kapoor was no exception. Few years after his marriage he was facing bad times in professional life while Neetu was pregnant with Riddhima. But in depression he blamed Neetu for all his failures in professional life.

5. Extra Marital Affairs :- Late actor Rishi Kapoor was always known for his womanizing nature.Even after marriage his flirtatious behavior didn’t change at all. He was having affairs with his co-stars like Divya Bharati and Juhi Chawla. It was told by Rishi Kapoor that Neetu Kapoor felt threatened when he did movie with Dimple Kapadia after their marriage.

6. Domestic Violence Case :- Rishi Kapoor had a drinking problem and bad temper and it was reported in 90’s that Rishi Kapoor got too drunk at a party and raised hand on Neetu. After which Neetu filed a domestic violence case against Rishi Kapoor and left the house. She decided to be single mother and opened up her own salon for moneybut Rishi Kapoor managed to convince her and brought her back.

7. Rishi’s Detachment :- Rishi Kapoor was never interested in his family and never spent time with his children. This created a distance between him and his children. He got detached from his family even after Neetu Kapoor asked him to spend time with his family. During the last few months of the actor, his relationship and bond grew with his son Ranbir.

8. Regret :- After getting diagnosed with cancer Rishi Kapoor relaised the value of his family members as nobody except them stood beside him. During his last days, Rishi Kapoor regretted not spending quality time with Neetu, not behaving properly with her. He also had regrets for not giving time to his kids Riddhima and Ranbir.
