Go behind the scenes with Gowthami Sampathkumar as she guides us through her day as a Medical Writer for IC Axon, an industry leader that develops science-driven training for pharmaceutical and life science customers.

It's not often that someone finds a unique career where two seemingly independent industries combine to form a perfect fit.

Gowthami took her background in the sciences, combined her love for writing and communications and took a position as Medical Writer, a job that involves dissecting complex scientific content and making it digestible in order for the pharmaceutical industry to easily understand. She cites collaboration/teamwork, attention to detail and flexibility as integral to this position along with a science degree and a solid command of the English language to help convey your message.

Gowthami has some inspiring words for those who, in situations similar to hers, are seeking out their dream job:
"I heard about IC Axon through a career fair that happened and we had someone from IC Axon come and do a talk about the company. I think it’s important, especially when you’re a grad student, to go ahead and attend all of those, and also to be very strong in terms of when you’re looking for a job, don’t give up - because you will find it."
